By accessing or using The Milo Browser web application, desktop application, or mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
The Milo Browser is a parental control application that allows parents and guardians to manage their children's web browsing experience. Features include:
To use the Service, you must create an account. By registering, you represent that:
Accounts are managed through Neon Auth, a hosted authentication service built on Better Auth. You must verify your email before signing in. Verification and password-recovery emails are delivered through SMTP2GO. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Parents and guardians manage the account and profiles used by their children. Our Privacy Policy explains the information processed to provide the Service, including profile settings, favorites, website requests, searches, and screen-time totals, and identifies our current providers. You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your family's information.
The Service is available in the following tiers:
Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases made through our Paddle checkout and handles payments, applicable sales taxes, and billing. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to those purchases. The price, billing interval, and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges on those terms until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings. Upon cancellation, your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will be downgraded to the Free tier. If you receive a full subscription refund, paid access may end earlier as described in our Refund Policy, which provides a full refund on request within 14 calendar days of any subscription charge, including renewals, and explains how to make a request. You can also contact us for help cancelling.
When you change plans in Milo, upgrades take effect immediately and Paddle charges the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle: you keep your current features until then, and the lower plan price applies at renewal. Scheduling or undoing a downgrade does not create an immediate charge or prorated credit. Review the price and effective date shown before confirming a change.
Current plan details are available on our pricing page. Features marked as coming soon are not currently included as available functionality. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Milo uses Exa to provide search results restricted to approved website domains. Search results, curated collections, and website approval do not guarantee that a site's content will always be suitable, accurate, or available. Parents should review the sites they approve. External websites have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when your family visits them through Milo.
You agree not to:
The Milo Browser, including its name, logo, design, source code, and all associated content, is the intellectual property of The Milo Browser and its creators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any data you provide to the Service (such as profile names and website lists). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use this data solely to provide and improve the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
While The Milo Browser is designed to help parents manage their children's browsing, we do not guarantee that the Service will block all inappropriate content or prevent all unauthorized access. The Service is a tool to assist parental supervision, not a replacement for it. Parents remain responsible for overseeing their children's internet use.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Milo Browser and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, whether in an action of contract, negligence, or other tortious action, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:
You can delete your account from account settings after canceling any subscription, waiting until the billing period ends, and resolving outstanding billing. Your account remains usable while you wait; cancellation does not automatically delete it. See our account-deletion instructions for the process and retention exceptions. Refund rights are governed by our Refund Policy and applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at help@themilobrowser.com.
