Delete your account

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Overview

You can delete your Milo account from account settings once your subscription has ended and billing is resolved. This page explains the steps and what happens to your data.

What gets deleted

When we process your account-deletion request, we remove the following from active account records, subject to the retention exceptions below:

  • Your Neon Auth account and password credentials, and your application account details
  • All child profiles you've created (names, colors, avatars)
  • The allowed-site selections for those profiles
  • All bookmarks (called "Favorites" in the mobile app)
  • Time limits, schedules, and screen-time usage records
  • Pending site access requests
  • All curated list subscriptions
  • Your Parent PIN, if set
  • Your subscription record stored in our database

What may be retained

  • Deletion receipt — we retain a minimal technical record of deletion to prevent an old session from recreating the account. It contains account identifiers and timestamps, without your email, password, or child profile data.
  • Backups and operational logs — copies may remain temporarily until they expire under the applicable retention settings. Deletion from active systems does not immediately remove every backup or log record.
  • Billing records — if you had a paid subscription, the provider shown on your receipt retains transaction records independently to satisfy financial and tax obligations. We do not store your full payment details. See the payment-provider links in our Privacy Policy for their retention practices.
  • Records required by law — anything we are legally required to keep.

How to delete your account

Sign in and open Settings → Delete account. In the mobile app, open parent settings and choose Delete account to open the same secure page.

  1. If you have a subscription, cancel renewal. Your account stays usable until the end of the current billing period.
  2. Wait until billing has finished, then return to settings. Cancellation does not automatically delete your account.
  3. Choose Delete my account, enter your current password and type DELETE to confirm permanent removal.

Accounts with no subscription can proceed directly to confirmation. If a payment is still processing or a billing issue remains, resolve it before deleting. Contact help@themilobrowser.com if you need help accessing your account.

Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing cycle. Account deletion becomes available after your subscription has ended and billing is resolved. Deleting your account does not automatically request a refund. Refund eligibility and instructions are explained in our Refund Policy. To cancel a subscription without deleting your account, you can do so from your billing page after signing in, or by emailing help@themilobrowser.com.
