Before you start
- Sign into the parent portal and select the profile you want to manage.
- Custom approved sites and time controls require Essentials or Plus. Plus includes different settings for each day.
Parent portal · Family → Allowed Sites
Add and remove websites
- Select the child’s profile. Add the website URL and review its title, then save.
- To stop access, remove the custom site and check Collections too. A site still supplied by an enabled collection remains approved.
- Let the child’s device sync and test the website in Milo.
Keep in mind: Approval applies to a website’s domain and its subdomains, not just one page. Approving a broad website can allow much more than the link you entered. Embedded content can also come from other services; review the site’s actual content.
Parent portal · Family → Collections
Choose collections
Review a collection’s websites before enabling it for the selected profile. Collections can change over time, so revisit them occasionally. Turning a collection off does not remove websites separately added under Allowed Sites.
Parent portal · Family → Requests
Review your child’s website requests
- Read the requested URL and your child’s reason. Visit and review the website yourself before approving it.
- Approve a suitable request or reject it. Confirm the action succeeds and let Milo sync before asking your child to try again.
Parent portal · Family → Screen Time
Set limits and allowed hours
- Enable Daily Limits and choose the daily browsing allowance. Save your change.
- Enable Browsing Schedule and choose the hours browsing is allowed. Save again. With Plus, you can set different limits and hours for each day.
- Sync the child’s device and check its displayed limit and schedule. Both controls apply: browsing stops when the allowance runs out or the schedule closes.
Keep in mind: These settings control Milo browsing. Device-wide screen time and other apps are managed separately in Apple parental controls or Family Link.

Troubleshooting
An approved website is blocked
Check the selected profile, successful sync, remaining browsing time, and allowed hours. A site may redirect to a different domain that also needs review. Approve only a domain you have checked.
A website I removed still opens
Check enabled collections and any broader approved domain that includes this website. Remove the remaining approval, sync the app, and test again.
I cannot edit a setting
Check your plan and any profile-limit message. Free does not include custom sites or time controls. Essentials uses the same time settings each day; Plus adds per-day settings.
